Volunteers are at the core of our agency. Not only do they help us run our programs, but they bring into action our vision of a community united to ensure every child and adult is free from poverty.
Volunteers are essential to prepare and distribute grocery boxes; sort and hang donated clothing; and to serve with dignity, compassion and respect the more than 2,000 customers who come to Sacred Heart each day. We have individual and group volunteer opportunities in nearly every program.
If you’re an individual ...
The first step in the process is attending a volunteer orientation. No appointments are needed to come to the orientation. Just check out the orientation schedule, find a time you can attend and show up! At orientation you will fill out a volunteer form that will help us schedule a shift with you. We cannot accept walk-in volunteers.
If you have a group ...
We have plenty of ways your group can help! You’ll need to contact the Volunteer Office to start the process. Please keep in mind that we can accomodate groups no larger than 30 people without special planning and we require chaperones for youth groups.
