Sacred Heart Community Service (SHCS) has available funding for emergency rental assistance for past due rent for those who are low-income and live in Santa Clara County.


Sacred Heart Rental Assistance

To book an appointment for Sacred Heart Rental Assistance, you will need to meet the basic criteria to be screened. Once screened the intake specialist team member will let you know if you are able to move on to the next step based on the eligibility requirements of our current available funding.

Applicants will not be asked about their immigration status.


Currently these are the basic requirements to book an appointment:

1.A Santa Clara County Resident


2. Income: Be low income or below the Area Median Income (see table below). For example, a household of 1 person should be making less than $82,450 or less a year.


3. Lease: Have a lease or ability to obtain a lease (we also have templates).


4. Zip code: Must be currently living in the following zip codes: (95008, 95110, 95111, 95112 (S. of Santa Clara St.,) 95113, 95116 San Jose 95117 San Jose 95118 San Jose 95120 San Jose 95123 San Jose 95124 San Jose 95125 San Jose 95126 San Jose 95128 San Jose 95136)

If you do not see your zip code above, we may screen you but you may be referred back to the agency that has reserved funds to serve the zip code you live in. Click HERE to find the agency that serves your zip code.

5. Have past due rent owed to a landlord.

*** Unfortunately we cannot help pay personal loans or debts to friends or family.


Applicants will not be asked about their immigration status.
