Lorena Sánchez-Castañeda, Energy Director

Lorena oversees our Energy program, a role in which she combines her unique combination of over 25 years of non-profit experience with direct services, program development, contract and grants management, staff supervision, and leadership roles. Lorena possesses a Bachelor’s degree from St. Mary’s College and a Master’s in Social Work from San José State University. Prior to moving to the Bay Area, she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Lorena emigrated with her family from México, having worked as a cannery and farmworker in the Central Valley. She now resides with her family in San José.
